In the prepared casserole dish, combine the cooked and drained noodles, the diced chicken, and sauce mixture. My Chicken Noodle Casserole is super creamy, thanks to a sauce I made from stock thickened with beurre manie (butter and flour) and sour cream.   3. Add water to chicken broth in pot, bring to boil and cook egg noodles in broth..
  4. Cut chicken into pieces, mix with cream of chicken and broth mixture. Place into casserole dish(es), depending on what size you have..
  5. Drain pasta and add to chicken mixture. Add cheese and/or cracker crumbs as desired..
  6. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until browned on top..
